Carving pumpkins, hay rides, bonfires, giggles, cute costumes and lots of candy are just a few of my favorite memories of being a little girl during Halloween. It has always been such a delight creating and collaborating the perfect Halloween costume. From rummaging through my Grandparents basement to late nights staying up crafting I always loved putting together the perfect Halloween costume. Now that I have a little girl I definitely find so much joy designing and creating the perfect one for her.
Last year due to a busy schedule I found myself walking into Target and just picking up something the night before and throwing together a cute little lamb costume. It was adorable but I wanted to create the tradition I once had as a little girl for my own daughter so I promised myself I would always think outside the box and become creative with my ideas and I can't wait to share them with you. This year my inspiration is unique, handmade, stylish, re-usable and could work with warm or cooler weather climates. Over the last year I have honestly grown a heart for handmade shops. I have found such a wonderful community and the products are truly beyond anything I could ever expect. Here are a few Halloween style's I have collaborated together to help inspire you and help you design your little one's costume.
I truly hope these costume ideas inspire you and you get to enjoy creating the perfect Halloween costume this year with your little one. This style guide is filled with handmade shops that I absolutely adore, uniqueness and provide the ability to work in warmer and cooler climates. The key to this Halloween style guide is to play off of a print or a few that tie together and add layers if you are in a colder climate. Add a little bit of makeup, and don't be afraid to mix patterns with solids and textures. Use your favorite shops to create your own unique idea and you could even diy your own hat or masks! I would LOVE to see what you style and create so be sure to follow us on our instagram @jupeandolive and use the hashtag #jupeandolivehalloweenstyleguide to be featured, XoXo!
